Eon A. George PhD, EdD-- Lead Professional Counselor

I take this opportunity to introduce myself to you as the Lead Professional Counselor at Jackson Elementary School.

My name is Dr. Eon George and I am excited to be part of the team of experienced and qualified professionals who will work with you  and your child to make them succeed.

I have over three decades years of experience working in schools in both the private and public systems in and out of
the United States. These experiences include working in the capacity as a teacher at the High school, Middle school,
and Elementary school levels; as a counselor and psychometrician and therapist in private two private institutions in Georgia and New York ; and as a professor of two universities. As such, my teaching and counseling experiences cover the whole gamut from elementary to university.

My academic journey includes the acquisition of a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science from Andrew's University; a Master's degree in Psychology from Long Island University; a Master's degree in Professional Counseling from University of West Georgia; a Specialist degree in Counseling and Supervision from University of West Georgia; a Doctorate in Education Counseling and Supervision from University of West Georgia; and a PhD in Psychology with emphasis in Cognition and Instruction from Grand Canyon University.

Elementary school years constitute the critical formative years for our children.  As such, as the school counselor, I take it as a serious but nevertheless pleasurable task of fulfilling the responsibility to promote holistic growth and development of all our students, in this very important period of their lives. To this end, I will be providing your child with classroom guidance lessons, group counseling and individual counseling as is needed.

At Jackson Elementary we believe that every child has the potential to learn and to be exemplary. So, our approach to a rounded education involves meeting the intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of every child, in a safe and learner-friendly environment. In keeping with this goal, the counseling programs that I will be coordinating include structured interactive outlet programs that will boost their self-confidence, esteem, and encourage exemplary behaviors and outstanding academic performance.

My office is open daily for consultation or to deal with any specific concerns that arise. I may be reached either by phone at (678) 610-4401 or by email at

I look forward excitedly to working with you as we develop your child for a changing world.
