My family includes two wonderful children (Chase, 8 and Kaci, 2) and my wonderful husband Brandon. My interests outside of teaching include fishing, scrapbooking, and cooking. It is my belief that although all children learn differently, they all deserve the best possible education. It is my goal to provide that for each child that enters my classroom. Education is very dear to my heart, as many of my ancestors were educators. I will make every attempt to develop my students into model citizens of our community and future leaders of our society!

I am so excited to be your child’s third grade teacher.  This will be my 17th year of teaching.  I will be teaching your child math and science.

I am really looking forward to getting to know you and your family this year.  My door is always open to visitors.  Please feel free to visit any time.  Of course, I am always looking for parent volunteers.  Just let me know if you are interested in helping!

The most important person in your child’s life is YOU.  You are his or her first teacher, and asking your child about the school day, and checking over papers and folders all help your child succeed.  It is also very important that your child arrives at school on time every day.  School begins at 7:45.

Please look for a Take-Home folder coming home every day. This will contain homework, school notes, and will provide opportunities for written communication.  Take home folders will be provided for all students.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is shenetha.mcghee-turner@clayton.k12.ga.us and the school phone number is 678-610-440. Let’s have a wonderful year!!!

From the Desk of Mrs. Moore

Dear Parents,

My name is Alisa Friedman Moore and I am really glad to welcome you and your child to my classroom this year. I graduated from Georgia College and State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have taught 3rd grade for four years and Pre-K three years. These positions enabled me to provide students with an introduction into basic skills and create a strong foundation in which they can build their academic careers.  While student teaching, I gained experience working with a wide range of students, all at different levels.  In order to ensure children reached their academic potential, I strive to differentiate their instruction based on their ability, interest, and learning styles.  I was able to incorporate Art, Spanish Language, and Physical Education into everyday learning.  I am excited to teach your children this year and learn from them as well!  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
